Install Budgie desktop from PPA
If you want to install with an Open source style you can grab the source and compile it on your own, but you need to know a bit of terminal know-how before installing it.
But if you feel lazy to compile it, you should thanks to the developer because the developer provide the PPA for Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu 14.10 or other distro that based on it, so you can install it the easy way.
So to install Budgie desktop you need to open your terminal, with a terminal window open type or copy paste the following commands, enter your root password if prompted :
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:evolve-os/ppa $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install budgie-desktop
Now after installation you can select Budgie from the session selector.
If you find any bugs or something that not run in appropriate way, its because like I said earlier, Budgie is still on development and its not finished also not officially supported for Ubuntu.
